#TheDragonblood: Zonhaspalis does try to look imposing and outshine other settlements, particularly those in the vicinity where the city can be seen from. But it's not too hostile; they want to encourage tourism, after all.

#TheDragonblood: Creating fire is so basic mage kids need to be taught how not to make it accidentally. Creating light is still considered raw (unskilled) magic, but does need to be learnt.
Creating magical darkness is harder, involving more manipulation of light.
#TheDragonblood: Akewan myths tell of various gods associated with light or darkness. (Am I just taking Greek gods and figuring out what their names would've ended up as in Akewan? Shush.)
There's Diw, god of the sky and daylight.
I always struggle with these metaphorical ones...
#TheDragonblood: Felix likes brownies! Is Felix a brownie (the baked good, not the fey creature, for today)? I don't know.
I missed this one (I kinda dropped off Bluesky in June), and I'm thinking of shifting it over to October.
I have a few ideas. I think my favourite atm is to discuss a cult of assassins from #TheDragonblood that are trying to protect the timeline by taking out those who would mess with fate.
#TheDragonblood: Hm... not sure. Felix has high aspirations of making a big discovery in physics. They'll get there, and be pretty proud of it, but of course they couldn't have gotten there without Sabrina showing them the magical world.

#TheDragonblood: The most important laws in Nemoria are Deiuoreks's laws. These decide whether you get an afterlife or whether your soul gets fed to Angosessor after death.
Do not kill or harm or steal from another member of the Nemorian religion.
#TheDragonblood: Saturday evenings are usually D&D nights for Felix.
Otherwise, Felix might play video games or get lost in a Wikipedia rabbit hole looking up some physics stuff that hasn't come up in class.
#Septopolis 26
#TheDragonblood: At the highest level, the Nemorian gods rule over Nemoria, with Deiuoreks as their king. Deiuoreks also selects one person to be the mortal ruler of Nemoria. I haven't exactly figured out what duties this person has separate from Deiuoreks directly.
#TheDragonblood: We've got dragon caves. They're usually decorated in gold, so quite shiny when the light shines in. But at other times, they may be dark.
Then, deep in the woods, we've got fairy forests. Fairies are often secretive about the location of their forests.
If it works as advertised, that is (I haven't decided yet, but the introduction of magic to the setting by way of crossover with #TheDragonblood might make that point moot).
And let's not forget Meg from #InReverse, who kind of... can't die? She's living in reverse, and can only be unborn.
But we have far longer lifespans even among mortals of #TheDragonblood, where with a good rejuvenation routine, one could easily have an expected lifespan of 2000 years. That's just expected lifespan; many will end up living several times that. One in every billion might live a million years.
#TheDragonblood: Felix might consider the thought of living in another world. But it's not strictly speaking a different time period; Sabrina even says they are travelling to the same time in the other world.
My mental image of future Felix does still live on Earth, though.

#TheDragonblood: Nemorian citizenship requires one to have undergone the ritual to be initiated in the Nemorian religion. The Soulless are not able to perform this ritual and cannot be citizens.
#TheDragonblood: Magical lighting is widespread in Nemoria.
I haven't decided exactly what that looks like, but I was considering the street lights might be in the form of enchanted cables strung throughout the city that glow at night all along their length.
#TheDragonblood: I think Felix would be in favour of some sort of cozy. Maybe more stay-at-home cozy than out-in-nature cozy, unless fantasy or other worlds are involved.
#Septopolis 24
#TheDragonblood: Again, starting with what you won't find: bars or coffeehouses. Not in the sense of establishments that serve alcohol or caffeine. The souls of the Souled protect them from the effects. They still have restaurants aplenty, where you can enjoy good food.
#TheDragonblood: The colour black is associated with the goddess Gnaramater. She picked it because, I don't know, she just likes that colour.
(Her accent colour is silver, btw.)
Gnaramater is the goddess of knowledge, wisdom and magic.
#TheDragonblood: Being pan is treated as the norm in Nemoria (with ace being the other recognised possibility), and there are a lot of characters who would fit under pan or "pan by default", for example Aimetor's partners.
I haven't really used light symbolically in any of my works, that I can think of.
But in #TheDragonblood, I do have the gods Deiuoreks and Gnaramater, whose main colours are white and black, respectively.
