Church of All Saints, Merton, Devon
A 15th Century three stage west tower, with buttresses that leave the angles free, battlements & obelisk pinnacles.
2/2 Another view. The two Hartlepools were combined in 1968. Christ Church was closed in 1973, Stranton church becoming the parish church for the west side of town. Christ Church is set in the town centre, and since 1997 it has been home to Hartlepool Art Gallery. #SteepleSaturday
A couple of views of 14th century St Wulfram’s Church, Grantham, takin in early August when the grass was parched but apples were early on the bough.
The church has the second tallest spire in Lincolnshire
Christ Church, Hartlepool by EB Lamb in the 1850s as the parish church for the new town of West Hartlepool. A gothic fantasy, it was widely criticised at the time for being ecclesiologically incorrect. @YalePevsner thought Lamb 'the naughtiest of mid-Victorian architects'.

The tower of the church of St Mary Coddenham #Suffolk, early 13th century at the base, 15th above, unusually offset to the north of the axis of the nave, and with the porch at its foot built at an angle!
