Sometimes scheduling routine things like eating, chores, etc. and making it concrete can help ND students so they don't have to think about what they have to do; it's already scheduled (Finch app is endorsed for this).

An ND student's path to success only needs to make sense to them.

Completing tasks together in real time rather than just talking about how to do things can be really helpful, as some ND students don't know how to (or struggle to) start/initiate tasks even if they know how to do them.

It's unfortunate when faculty can't meet our ND students' needs (or don't take the time to learn how to support our ND students)

It can also be hard to get the RIGHT accommodations in higher ed because so many of the offerings can be limited or "one size fits all."

As a late-diagnosed person, it is hard to get accommodations at universities/colleges because you don't have a history to prove your accommodation needs like early-diagnosed students do (this per @supernovaparenting.org).

Supporting ND students isn't just about individual students; it's about systems and who gets to lead that change. Student level innovations AND campus level innovations.

Sometimes, despite our best efforts, Neurodivergent students face unique challenges in higher education. Burnout, mental health challenges, etc. are more likely.

But also, benefits: Attention to detail, unique processing. #SNS2026

I'm much happier to have listened to the presentation by Dr. Loth describing the ways that a research program moved from consultation to shared governance with autistic participants and the ways that this evolved across time. #SNS2026
