#ScribesAndMakers ~13 How pedantic are you?
The mushrooms taught me it's more important to be happy than pedantic.
Being on the receiving end of someone else who is pedantic will most likely trigger a trauma response for me.

How pedantic are you?
Where common usage doesn't cause problems and the details aren't the point, not at all. I'm happy to call a tomato a vegetable or a fruit depending on context (it's both), and I don't care whether Pluto is a planet.
Where fine distinctions matter […]

I'm a rat-holer by nature, but a synthesist by training: I studied Philosophy. My brain hurts a lot.

Our next featured creator is an acronym. Do you use acronyms in your work?
I don't think I do, much. I don't think I've invented many for world-building, anyway.
I think the closest is RED or RD leading to the slur "ardie" in disOrder. It's not really an acronym; it's […]

Well, I have a few embroidery projects going on at the same time, including an SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) project.
I am learning the new acronym for my National acupuncture license. It […]

I wrote one haiku, one longer-form poem and this week a new stream of consciousness-style prose poem. I favour flash prose poems.
I'm aiming for more prose poems this month.
#ScribesAndMakers ~8 Gauge?
The only time I think about gauge in my creative life is acupuncture needle gauges. I use 36 usually. Acupuncture needles gauges are very different from tattoo needle gauges but it's always fun to talk to tattoo artists about it.
My husband makes gauge squares before […]

#scribesandmakers 8 Sep - Gauge
She checked again, but there was no point. The fuel gauge said 60%. Of course it did. Every readout was digital, not one light was on because a physical circuit was closed, not one dial was a needle held in place by a real pressure or voltage. The whole control […]
