Foals - Inhaler (2013)
Depressingly, this song marked the moment when I realised I didn't have my finger on the music pulse anymore - I heard it, loved it & then realised it came out 6 months previously

Barry Can't Swim - Dance Dance Dance!
This sounds like Barry hoped in a DoLorean headed back to 2000 and has been rubbing shoulders with elite French producers likes Daft Punk, Cassius, Etiennede Crécy etc.

The National - Sorrow
Helps that Matt Berglninger's vocals are somewhat apt for this particular picture.

Castle Trancelott - Indoctrinate (Way Out West remix)
"Rhythm is fundamental to the spirit"🎶
One for 303 sickos - absolutely drenched in acid.
Unfortunately I can't play my copy, as it has the biggest warp on it 😞

La Roux - In for the Kill (Skream remix) (2009)
This may just be the best remix of a pop song of all time. When the beats kicked at the end... Ooof!

Nite Fleit - The Flower Dance
Don't be fooled by the name, this isn't some folksy song, but rather an in yer face techno / electro hybrid.

Not sure if the context of the song exactly meets the criteria, but it's a great song, so that's enough for me.
