The prince doesn’t long for adventure as much as defying the (lack of) expectations of those around him. But in doing so, he ends up on an adventure eventually.

They’ll have heard us talking.” Ichari did have sensitive hearing. It made sense that- Dusk’s stream of thought was promptly abandoned as Saevel turned, facing partially towards the doorway and shifting his weight onto one foot. As if he was going to leave. Was he going to leave? That would be fine, of course, but Dusk still had questions, and- “M-My weapons!” he blurted. Saevel stopped, looking back at him with a confused, curious gaze. “… Your weapons?” Saevel echoed. Dusk cleared his throat. Maybe he did need some water.
