Been gearing up for this a little bit: doing OC-tober 2026! I'll be using @/stormyth.bsky.social's OC-tober 2026 prompts for my writing.

I'll also use this post as a masterpost for all of my entries. (will be combining days)

#OC_TOBER2026 Day 9: Protecting

Ares can't just stand by while his Trainer is being attacked, but his Trainer actively wants him to stay in the ball to avoid him getting hurt. But it would be unlike Ares to actually listen, now would it?

An illustration of a Dewott popping out of its Pokeball to protect his trainer who lays injured on the ground from a Nihilego. The trainer has dull red hair and light blue eyes and wears an Ultra Recon Squad uniform (an off-white bodysuit with dull teal detailing) that's melted in places.

A young Dalena dressed simply with her hair in a braid lies on the grass and stares at a young Elwyn who gazes back, her hand gently cradling Dalena’s head.

Fin's been protector for most of his life. He started being a party tank at the young age of 15 during the Flowerburn.

I'm going to try and limit myself more on the rendering so I don't get burned out by the end of the month.

Day 9 of #OC-Tober: Relationships!

Ever the cheeky one, Bridget is demonstrating part of her and Simon's relationship. After a dangerous quest, sometimes she likes a little company!

That aside, here's a chart with some rough ideas about the characters' relationships

#art #ttrpg #OC_Tober2026

A traditional pen drawing of my characters Bridget and Simon. Bridget stands in the background, smacking her bottom, saying: "ooh Simon"

In the foreground, Simon stands, drink in hand, eyes wide in some combination of shock/fright.

A chart of my characters, Simon, Bridget, Collin, Marianne, and Beatrice. The chart demonstrates their rough relationships.

Simon and Bridget have a longstanding connection and comfort.
Bridget and Collin have a mutual respect.
Bridget and Marianne worked together in the past, they have a decent rapport built.
Collin and Beatrice clash over theology, and have a romantic tension.
Marianne and Beatrice have distrust.
Bridget is probably too trusting of Beatrice.
