(Same song on both sides) An image of the 45 RPM vinyl promo record, “Only in My Mind”, written and sung by Reba McEntire on MCA Records from her album, “Have I Got a Deal for You” released in 1985.

This was her first single release that she wrote. From the first time hearing it on the album, it became an instant favorite. I was so glad it was released as a single.

According to my book of reference, which only goes up to 2005 this song was the only single release that she wrote, which makes it extra special in my book.

Fascinatingly, the song peaked at #5 for three weeks. One of those weeks were when the chart was frozen during the Christmas holidays.

Fascinatingly, this was his one and only #1 single, among numerous Top 10s from 1975-1988.
