My light bulb moment this week was realizing that data visualization makes patterns much easier to understand. Price, sales volume, avocado type, and location can help businesses make better marketing decisions! #mktgfiasco4000

This week I learned how useful R can be when working with real marketing data. It was interesting to compare avocado sales across different cities and see how location can impact consumer demand. #mktgfiasco4000

This week I learned how R and ggplot2 can turn avocado sales data into useful business insights. I enjoyed comparing organic and conventional avocado prices across cities and years! #mktgfiasco4000

One of my biggest aha moments this week was seeing how much easier it is to understand a large dataset once it is turned into a visualization. Using ggplot2 helped me see patterns in avocado prices and sales that I probably would have missed by just looking at the raw data. #mktgfiasco4000

Yeah same, the LA/NY thing was wild to see play out. Once you actually graph it, elasticity stops being some abstract term and you can literally watch demand move with price lol. R made that so much easier to visualize. #mktgfiasco4000

Biggest takeaway from this week's #mktgfiasco4000 analysis: organic avocados consistently cost more than conventional ones, and prices swing seasonally. Small dataset detail, big implication for how retailers time their promotions and pricing. Data really does drive marketing decisions.

Week 3 of #mktgfiasco4000 had me diving into R and ggplot2 to analyze avocado pricing data. Cool seeing how a few lines of code can turn raw sales numbers into visuals that actually tell a story about pricing strategy and consumer demand. I enjoy that its not too hard.

During week 3 of class I also learned that AI can help me find the errors that I make on Posit Cloud. It was really frustrating in the past getting errors while trying to run things on Posit Cloud but now i know that I can fix it with AI and it helps me learn from my mistakes. #mktgfiasco4000

During class this week, I was really excited top learn the difference between R-Markdown and R-Script. There are so many different settings on Posit Cloud so I was really interested when we got to see how similar but still different both R Markdown and R Script are. #mktgfiasco4000

After week 3, I also now understand how to interpret graphs from R. Also, I now know how to see if there are any errors in my code. #mktgfiasco4000

In week 3, I learned how to not only create graphs but much more detailed and customizable graphs. I learned how to better use R markdown files as well as Rpubs. #mktgfiasco4000

The price elasticity part stood out to me too. It was interesting to see how changes in avocado prices affect sales differently across cities like LA and NY, and using R made those patterns much easier to see. 🥑📊 #mktgfiasco4000

It’s interesting how LA and NY lead avocado sales for different reasons. LA’s access to nearby growers could explain stronger conventional sales, while NY’s higher organic demand may reflect different consumer preferences. #mktgfiasco4000

@dakotahmedina.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 1:30 AM

My avocado analysis found that New York led organic sales, while Los Angeles led conventional sales in 2017 and 2018. I’m also excited to use ggplot2 to turn data into business insights. #mktgfiasco4000

My aha moment! Hass avocado prices ranged from $0.50 to $2.78. I learned that marketing research helps growers, retailers, marketers, and consumers make better decisions. #mktgfiasco4000

@dgaleanacsub.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 1:26 AM

Using the avocado dataset, I learned how to identify cities with the highest dollar sales and compare pricing across avocado types. This showed me how data can support decisions about pricing, inventory, and marketing. #mktgfiasco4000

@dgaleanacsub.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 1:25 AM

This week, I learned how to use R and ggplot2 to analyze Hass avocado data. I compared organic and conventional avocado prices and saw how visualization makes business trends easier to understand. #mktgfiasco4000

@maribelcf.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 12:25 AM

This week we created more detailed graphs that included plots from our data. overall I got better at creating R markdown files and using the different platforms like Rpubs. #mktgfiasco4000

@maribelcf.bsky.socialSep 15, 2026, 12:17 AM

This week we learned to create graphs through R markdown and interpret our findings. It was new to me but very interesting to learn. #mktgfiasco4000

I learned how to change a syntax from the book and format it in order to help me on my assignment. #mktgfiasco4000.
