@bandbee.bsky.socialMarc Bolan (1947–1977)
The elf-king of glam who put glitter under his eyes and conquered the charts — then died in 1977 when his car hit a tree, two weeks short of his 30th birthday. He never learned to drive; he was the passenger.
@dbcurren.bsky.socialIf #TonyVisconti had done nothing else in his life, he would deserve to be remembered for producing #BangAGong by #TRex

@marcbolantrex.bsky.socialTANX album ~ 1973
Tanx album is so underrated. It's a gorgeous, incredibly creative album; each song so unique. Sublime production by Visconti. #marcbolan #TRex

@marcbolantrex.bsky.socialOh, I agree with you. Marc was prolific, and the music he gave us is actually far more varied than most people realize (who just know the hit singles, for example). I enjoy Tanx album a lot. I knew from the opener, Tenement Lady, that this one would be funkier and different. 😎 #TRex #marcbolan
@marcbolantrex.bsky.socialA song for the weekend ~
T. Rex "Electric Slim And The Factory Hen"
from 1973 Tanx album. So many unexpected gems on this
album. I know Tony Visconti liked this album. Really worth
discovering if you haven't already. #KALMIYH 💕

A personal note: I never knew Marc Bolan.
⭐️But what he gave the world (& therefore me) matters
a great deal. His songs were my touchstone as a teen,
turned a light on inside me that shines still - comforts,
gives me joy, and inspires me like no other #KALMIYH💕
