Some more views of Hadrians Wall before heading back home to the flat land s of Suffolk tomorrow. #hadrianswall #landscape

A view of Hadrians Wall from the top of Peel Crags. In the distance is Crag Lough. Cloudy sky with traces of blue coming through.A Mile Castle and the Wall on the dramatic heights of Peel Crags, moorland scenery and Graf Lough in the distance.Remains of the Roman bridge at Willowford. The River course has moved west since Roman times so the bridge abutments are now in a grassy field. Trees behind and light clouds. The spectacular Peel Crags rise above the surrounding moorland. The course of Hadrians Wall runs along the top. Despite the difficulties of constructing the Wall in such terrain, the Romans clearly utilised the natural barriers in the landscape when constructing the Wall.
