SIDE STREAMS by Yasmin Adele Majeed (3/2027), keeps crossing my path so I grabbed it for my TBR. This is a debut featuring a queer Filipino/Pakistani American woman trying to connect with her past and understand a mysterious art installation. #ewgc
#ewgc Eager to start MISS ARCHER. A gothic dystopian thriller! Who could ask for more and it is the lead read. Fascinating and complex. @librarylovefest.bluesky.social
#ewgc Loving this poignant story of the midwest and redemption. WINTER SONG is like a quiet long cry for no reason that feels good after it is done. @librarylovefest.bluesky.social
A CASE OF FEAR AND FAVOR by Sally Smith, is the third mystery in the Gabriel Ward series. Set in the hidden world of the Inner Temple in early 1900s London, a librarian is murdered and a priceless rare document has been stolen. #ewgc @macmillanlib.bsky.social
My other romance read this month was a contemporary, Lucy Score's JUST ONE MORE CHAPTER - which I greatly enjoyed. #ewgc
Creepy half-ruined mansions, creepy cursed cover, creepy hubris-filled billionaires, and a non-creepy memoir in our January 2027 @libraryreads.bsky.social suggestions. #ewgc www.edelweiss.plus#catalogID=54...
I am definitely reading this. #ewgc
Currently reading UP TO THE LIGHT by Julia Armfield, which follows a mountain-climbing expedition where we know things are going to get real weird the higher up they go. Still early on and getting to know the characters, but I can't wait to keep reading! #ewgc 💙📚
Just look at the stunning cover of HABILA by Wayetu Moore (author of SHE WOULD BE KING)! Can’t wait to read this sumptuous novel of a Liberian immigrant family and the magical realism that weaves through their story. #ewgc @prhlibrary.bsky.social.
In MERCY FOR THE DEAD by Marilyn Medlock, a Southern gothic paranormal mystery for fans of Grady Hendrix and T. Kingfisher, the whispered words of the dead spur the search for a killer.
Coming to NetGalley soon!
LINA & JUNE is a bittersweet story that follows two young women as their intertwined lives veer off on separate paths. They’re left to figure out how to repair their bond—and if it’s even worth it. It’ll be perfect for you if you enjoyed BLUE SISTERS or HEART THE LOVER. tinyurl.com/4w8wjdjx #ewgc
Okay, I REALLY can’t stop talking about THE LION 🥊🔥
A champion boxer + an injured ballerina + a fake engagement where he needs to fix his reputation and she needs to ruin hers.
Need I say more? #EWGC
Thought there was nothing new to learn about the sinking of of the Titanic? Think again. DEAD IN THE WATER: THE LOST PASSENGERS OF THE TITANIC by Caitlin Doughty was fascinating. One of the my favorite non-fiction books of the decade. @wwnortonlibrary.bsky.social #ewgc
ESSENTIAL by Enrique Acevedo is a well researched look into what it is like to be Latinx in America today. It's a must read! #ewgc
Historical mystery fans should keep an eye out for COLD DARK DEEP by Julia Keller, which sees authoress Sarah Fielding (Henry's sister) sleuthing around 1750s London to uncover the "mastermind" targeting vulnerable young girls. I really enjoyed this and hope to see a Book 2 at some point! #ewgc 📚💙
Downloaded it! #ewgc
