My belayed Day 2 entry for #steeltober !
It was very fun reminding myself how #drawsteel Trinkets are supposed to work, so this was a fun experiment!

Beacon of Boldness
Echelon II Trinket
Project Points: 700
Project Ingredient: a brass bowl inscribed with 10 prayers to St Llewellyn the Valiant
Project Source: texts in Vaslorian

As a Maneuver, a creature may light this torch and recite one of the prayers inscribed. They may then choose 2 of the following.
-regain all spent Recoveries
-gain Heroic Resources equal to their Victories
-count their Intuition and Presence as 2 higher when resisting Potencies until the end of the Encounter.

The Beacon may not be used again until it is recharged during a Respite.

3) I love Hero Tokens in #DrawSteel especially on my Fury. Taking advantage of the additional Ferocity I get when I'm first winded to do a tonne of damage! Then, the first time I take damage after becoming Winded I will spend 2 Hero Tokens to gain a free recoveries worth of Stamina. So powerful!

Prerequisite: Finish a project less than an hour before it’s due.
Choose one of the following benefits:
-I’ll get around to it: If you are the last hero to take a turn in a round of combat and have not used your triggered action this round, you may take an additional trigged action this round.
-I work well under pressure: You may skip your turn in the first round of a montage to gain a double edge on a test made during the second round of that montage.
-It just looks like I’m not working on it: If you take a respite without taking a respite activity, roll 3d10 on your next project roll. If any two of the tree dice make a natural 18, 19, or 20, you gain the benefit of a breakthrough. You can’t benefit from this title again until you gain a Victory.

I don't think I've felt as engaged or supported by the rules of a ttrpg then when I run Draw Steel. I ran a werewolf against my players and it felt like I got to pilot a Dark Souls boss - at level goddamn 1! #drawsteel

1) #DrawSteel character creation's "Inciting Incident" has been my favourite thing to see people coming to the hobby from #dnd experience. They're not just a Noble background working out the details later or not at all. They're generating their backstory as part of their character coming to life.
