With all my own grief over the Textile Makerspace lately, it was amazing to visit Niko Sanchez and Catalyst Studios in the UofA library, where their many sewing and embroidery machines are busy & their beading classes are well attended (per Niko's wonderful beaded visualization of metrics.) #DHmakes

Got to 2020 in my weaving of @neh-odh.bsky.social grants. The earliest ones that were canceled (at the top and middle). I unclasped the weft and wrapped it around warp threads. Since these had more time to spend the funds, I left a smaller gap between. It'll be bigger with each year. #DHmakes

A leisurely coffee and weaving data might be my favorite way to spend a Saturday morning. I was delighted to weave the grant for a project I just cited in my copyright article, then a @anasalter.bsky.social workshop. Also spotted: the elusive fluffy Kiki. #DHmakes
