#34 Return to Sleepaway Camp

This was a missed opportunity. They could have leaned into the camp and humor of the original but it just didn't hit the mark. But hey, now I can check this franchise fully off my list.

#36 Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor

Alternate Title, Sleepaway Camp: A Very Special Clips Show. The purist in me wanted to hit the entire franchise. The "making of" for this is 10x more interesting than the film itself.

#37 Final Girl: Halloween

I love movies that take us through the aftermath of a horror film. That being said, this just didn't land for me.

#38 Scary Movie 4

This was bad y'all. Really bad. Like I was talking to someone about how part of the brilliance of Young Frankenstein is that it's timeless, even apart from the source material and this...this is not timeless.

#39 Scary Movie 3

A newspaper reporter accidentally watches a strange videotape that causes the viewer to die within a week. She discovers the tape is one of many weird happenings.

Fun enough, albeit incredibly dated now.

#40 Resident Evil (2026)

Tasked with delivering a package to a remote hospital, a courier gets trapped in a sudden outbreak and must fight mutated creatures to survive.

Absolute blast of a film. Fun, funny and just a damn good time.

Mayhem 🎬

Now THAT was fun! Steven Yeun is incredible, and Samara Weaving is the absolute queen of horror-comedy.
The corporate satirical chaos is non-stop, hyper-violent, and incredibly cathartic. This would pair perfectly with Ready or Not for the ultimate double feature.

Portal to Hell (2025) 🎬

Richard Kind voicing a hell demon is elite casting. Add the great Keith David and a cool concept, and I was so excited for this one.
Sadly, neither gets enough screen time, and it loses its way so badly it feels way longer than its 93min runtime.

When a Stranger Calls Back 🎬

The 1st hour is just as tense & compelling as the OG, and Carol Kane helping a girl through a similar trauma is great. It drops the ball on momentum in the middle, but the epic final showdown wins it back. Why is this legacy sequel so slept on?!
