6+hrs in a car with two VERY excited 16yo girls, driving back and forth from San Diego to LA for a concert. Lots of time stuck in traffic on the way up, and then the excited retelling of the concert on the way home.

You hear a lot when you listen.

I have been thinking about how it would be neat to find a “bridge” electronic #typewriter — one that is part word processor, part typewriter—to show students how these machines evolved from manual to computer. And what did I find at the thrift store for $11.50 in perfect working order tonight?

Drivers park in fire zones and simply wait for a resident to vacate street parking, others loop around endlessly. Honking and shouting incidents are not uncommon, when clashes occur over who saw the spot first. All to avoid expensive meters, garages, or parking tickets.
