Do you really need another system to manage app workflows?
Jobin Augustine looks at PgQ and PgQue as PostgreSQL-native options and how append-only event models can reduce bloat and concurrency issues.

PG 18's uuidv7() fixes the random-UUID index churn, but the id now embeds when the row was made: uuid_extract_timestamp(id) gives it back to the millisecond.
Fine for most tables. For users, invoices or anything with a public id, that's your signup date in the URL. #postgres

Christophe Pettus on PgBouncer 1.26.0: CVE-2026-6668 is a pre-auth hang, not a crash. systemd restarts a crash; a hung pooler just sits there with every pool behind it.
A health check that skips the pooler won't notice.

Your weekend watch is “Troubleshoot Slow Queries Using Postgres EXPLAIN Visualizations” with Michael Christofides:
Most vendors give you high availability OR zero-downtime maintenance on #Postgres - rarely both.
pgEdge Starfleet scales from a single instance to a multi-region, zero-downtime cluster with optional active-active replication. Standard #PostgreSQL the whole way. 📖
