Most software treats features as the only metric for success. OpenBSD is a rare example of valuing correctness over bloat. It is a reminder that stripping away the noise is actually a feature. Fewer lines of code means a smaller attack surface.

p7zip has been replaced with 7zip in #OpenBSD ports, carrying forward the pledge(2) support I helped the maintainer Josh work out 10 years ago.

Features like benchmark, hashing/listing archives, extracting to stdout can't write to the filesystem, open a socket or execv.
