Y’know… @digiranma.bsky.social
I HATE the Disney streaming price hike but the FACT that I’ve never seen Macross II look THIS good! (Thankfully Animeigo owns the physical media rights)

I feel like this OVA Series and #Gundam0080 would be a good double feature given they're both peak 90s Haruhiko Mikimoto!

On the English side since this came out before the whole Harmony Gold Robotech debacle it was initially released by US Renditions but then transferred over to Manga Entertainment. Recently it's streaming by Disney of all companys!

Animation was done by Studio AIC (Oh My Goddess, early Tenchi Muyo, Battle Athletes franchise) with music by Shiro Sagisu (Nadia: Secret of Blue Water, Evangelion, BLEACH) and Haruhiko Mikimoto returns as the character designer!

So some big shift happening with #MacrossII the original production team on Tatsunoko, Studio Nue and Artland broke off from Big West production wise. This OVA Series came out in 1992 and while initially #Macross continuity it was then retconned to alternate universe events!

Mikumo Guynemer - Macross Delta

Just started watching this series, which ups the ante on Macross's sci-fi meets idols formula by adding a full-on magical girl idol unit that works alongside the space pilots.

Macross Do You Remember Love 1984
salt idol era 🥹✨

Cosplay photo of Lynn Minmay from the 1984 Macross Do You Remember Love? movie. I'm cosplaying the concert outfit Minmay wears at the ending scene: A lilac and purple bodysuit with purple arms and neckline, lilac torso and legs. There are lilac frills loosely resting around my arms and a glitter lilac fabric draped at the hips like a mini skirt. Large teal cabochon ornaments set in shiny gold frames at the center of the chest, at the sides of the hips and on the shoes. I'm wearing matching purple velvet kitten heel boots and a white fur hat with a hot pink scarf tied around it. Hot pink gloves that are loose around the wrists. I'm wearing a dark blue wig with curly bangs and large triangular gold earrings. The photo has a soft, dreamy quality. I'm standing in an alley of trees covered in pale yellow fairly lights, one arm raised to point to the skt, the other holding the microphone to the side. My head is thrown back and eyes shut, I'm looking up to the sky w,th a big smile. The photo shows me in the same outfit close up, framed in portrait. My back is close to a tree wrapped in fairly lights. There are other trees in the distance too with their lights creating pale yellow bokeh all around me. My head is tilted to the side and I'm smiling sweetly, looking to the side. The photo shows me in the same outfit close up, framed in portrait. I'm holding the microphone close to my face with one hand while reaching my other hand out to the viewer in an inviting gesture. There is a wall of pale yellow lightbulbs behind me, making the whole photo glow like a stage. I'm smiling with a pleasant expression.
