There are missteps, overstepping, mixed signals, and more. Malice definitely has my vote - whatever we're voting on. 🥵 Crew (Malice, Mal) Lawson & Monroe (Roe, Pixie) St James are so very opposite each other, but I love how they just fit. It's also adorable when he completely softens for her. Sure, the stalking is a little weird, but the sweet gestures are almost enough to get me to overlook that one... socially frowned upon habit. 😄 -- Book quote "Surviving is the hardest thing any of us will ever do." -- Monroe St. James Darkness falls upon the club. I do respect their eye for an eye philosophy even if their methods for meting out justice are a bit much on occasion. Of course, it mixes well with Malice, who lives up to his road name. For as dark as it can be, there are so many light and funny moments to provide a terrific balance. Be it bowling, meeting the respective families, or some light flirting with the women who make some of their favorite foods, these are the times that really show the characters' depths. 🩷🩷🩷 I won't even go into the smexy times that add another layer of fun. 😉🌶 Prior reading isn't necessary. There are references to the earlier books, but it's nothing that should stop one from enjoying it. I've only read one of them, so I'm speaking from experience. I listened to the audio book.
