I am excited to write my main character Ash because he is very silly and different from my previous MCs.

I'm most nervous to write Constance bc I don't have close experience with someone losing their mental faculties.

Honestly, I'm not excited about any of the characters? I can't even really say I'm excited about the story. Normally I'd say that's a sign that I should reconsider if this story is one I want to write, but I feel like this is a story I need to tell.

Well there's one I'm rattling at the bars of my enclosure about but I won't get to him until book 3. I think I'm equally excited about Auri and Damián for different reasons. #FirstDraftFall

Ok so I had a low spoon day so I simply made a doc in which I wrote down the names of the characters and their roles

Hopefully I can turn it into a character ref source before the end of the week ^^

Honestly, I'm excited to write Dt. Megan Deer, but not because of my love of noir. Deer is a complex character who represents the difficulties of honoring the true self and the things you must do to survive in a hostile place that you'll always call home.

I've missed a few days of #LitHodgePodge and #FirstDraftFall questions. It's been a LONG day today and my brain is not braining so. Hopefully I remember to catch up with the conversations tomorrow!

I’m excited for Mel, my POV character. This is the first time I’m consciously and intentionally making the MC autistic.

I wasn’t diagnosed until grad school, and I think I needed a few years to sit with it (and spiral over it) before feeling ready to write a character like this.

I'm excited to write about the evil(?) god. Trying to write an inscrutable being with godlike power (when I am most definitely not that) is really going to stretch my writing skills a lot.

Honestly, I'm excited about our main trio. Watson (my fully human cowriter) is really good at pushing me to consider all aspects of our characters lives, backstories, and arcs. She points out inconsistencies with curiosity that inspires me to get to know the chars better.

Honestly, i'm quite excited about all three MCs, i'm gonna make the childhood friends trauma bond after their village gets wrecked so they'll basically become one single fighting entity.
