Red book cover featuring a female vampire tearing out her heart in the centre, with cracked glass features surrounding her. The title is DEADLY SYN and it is by J. Lee. A series title denotes it as book one of The Heir of Night series. There is a tagline at the bottom that reads "A Monster Among the Hunters".

A 4 star review of The Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub

The long journey of this, going between the two worlds felt a little (maybe a lot!) DT, and I loved it. But at the heart of the story was love. Love Jack has for his Mum. Love he has for Wolf. Love he has for Richard. And doing whatever it takes to help the ones you love.

I didn't appreciate the swerve of Wolf being alive/not being Wolf at the end.

For me, the reason it doesn't score any higher is because it. Was. So. Freaking. Long! Long books don't offend me, I will happily read books over 1000 pages long, but the this one was just too dense in terms of unnecessary description
