“Hello Darkness, my old friend” for a Nyctophobic, sure.
But perhaps it’s not silence, but Virgil’s just not listening hard enough.
In a dark room, to see a shadow, you must first turn on a light.

This definitely evokes something about the ending of Dido on the Edge. But maybe not what happens after?

Honestly, they all spoil something, and my use of Burn for the villains prompt also slots perfectly in here (why it fits, the scene it's used for, etc.).
So to be more interesting, here's a musical spoiler for NICEF
Angry Too - Lola Blanc
A spoiler thats spoilering absolutely no one I'm sure.
Derivakat's 'Fall'-

I have so many songs I could choose, but some are honestly *too* spoilery. 😅 So after careful consideration, I decided to go with Again by Yui from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood~ Especially Amalee's English cover of it 💕
All I can say is that it fits really well >.>~

Without context, give us a song that spoilers something in your story!
Be as vague or cryptic as you want with it~
And don't forget to tag!
#SongsOfSeptember D15:
I get to play with this one!
Depends on the moment, sometimes I need silence, other times I use music to help me get into the moment.
Here are some!

All of the music I've shared so far has been songs that are from my protagonist Francis' playlist! I normally listen to that while I'm writing her story, though sometimes it's just random playlists of my other favourite music.
I associate 'Picard's Answer' from the Star Trek: Picard Season 3 soundtrack with a scene that'll take place near the end of the second book in the duology - there are some similarities to the Star Trek scene, which I only realised after...
Not a romantic pairing, but the complicated weird sort-of-parental-sort-of-superior-officer thing Francis has going on with her cabin boy Teanau is well encapsulated by a song a friend recommended - 'I Hold Your Anger,' by The Last Dinner Party.
I chucked a recording of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo from 2013 into Francis' playlist, largely because it's got her military vibe and I imagine the Acidalian national anthem-y kinda thing including Uilleann pipes but bagpipes were easier to find.
I think from the last few entries it's clear that I'd choose The Longest Johns, but can I cheat and say The Longest Johns FEATURING Colm McGuinness? He's a great composer and he's played with them before.
I get to cheat here, 'cos my characters are space navy with reason to sing all the classics! There's a scene or two where 'Here's a Health to the Company' or 'Don't Forget Your Old Shipmate' would fit perfectly.
The song I think best suits Ghost of Hades' beginning is also the first in Francis' playlist - Richard Tognetti's 'Into the Fog,' from the soundtrack of Master and Commander.
I'm trying to open by capturing as much of a naval vibe as possible.
The last song to go into Francis' playlist was Heather Dale's 'Joan,' but that was the last post so I'll talk the next most recent. 'Mal's Song,' by Vixy and Tony! It's an old Firefly fan song, and it's for hush hush spoilery reasons.
I recently added Heather Dale's 'Joan' to my playlist for Francis Morgan, the sci fi duology's main character. It's about Joan of Arc and I feel like its vibe fits her heedless crusade, her anger, and her ambition to prove herself as a Captain.
There's a particular old British Navy shanty that applies here, 'The British Tars,' which I first heard part of in Master and Commander. It was pretty hard to find recordings of online until the makers of Windrose released their version on Youtube.
Kia ora! I'm E. Juniper Kelsey, a trans Kiwi author working on a science fiction duology, and I don't really have a single favourite song.
For the feels, I'll go with the Beatles' Blackbird. It was one of my late father's favourites, and I quote it in the dedication of my draft.
#SongsOfSeptember i'm a music with lyrics person always, often i will listen to the project playlist while working on it, though sometimes i get caught up in needed to write and forget to put anything on.

Most of the time, I'm on YouTube shorts while I write. Sometimes it's random cooking videos, music, bodybuilding history, the "WHAT IS IT NOW" guy, clips from that Nathan Fillion Cop Drama, and Parker York Smith.
I THINK I BROKE MY ALGO ON YT.
