A wide shot captures the 8,000-foot-tall character Thane Grim standing face-to-face with his matching 8,000-foot-tall uncle Brutallus / The Eradicator in a tense standoff. On the left, Thane stands in a right-facing side profile in his Dragon God Black form, featuring a hyper-muscular dark grey-skinned physique, long black hair, a full black beard, and two massive curved gold-and-black ram horns erupting from his brow. His unblinking eyes glow with a solid blue energy, paired with an intricate network of glowing blue tribal tattoo patterns tracking across his shoulders, torso, and arms. He wears a simple, shredded dark grey fabric loincloth skirt. On the right, Brutallus stands in a left-facing side profile in his DawnBreaker form, featuring his massive tectonic charcoal-black skin plate chassis with solid glowing orange eyes. Thick networks of glowing orange magma fissures track deeply across his body, with his left shoulder and arm covered in his signature glowing orange tribal tattoo sleeve pattern and heavy, spiked dark metallic armor pauldrons. They stand firmly over a cracked volcanic valley floor under a dark, storm-filled grey sky with falling rain, flanked by a towering rocky mountain on the left and a streaming river of orange lava on the right.
Animals in coastal environments tend to have shells on account of the general violence of the tides, the surf regularly battering you against the rocks forms an effective evolutionary filter.

A dynamic full-body shot captures the bio-electric metahuman superhero Ben Jones / Impulse struggling to break free from a rear chokehold applied by his main rival Brock Edwards / Khaos. Standing behind him, Khaos features a hyper-muscular red demonic physique with textured, vein-lined skin, two large curved black horns erupting from his crown, and solid glowing red eyes. Khaos wears dark, spiky metal armor pauldrons over his broad shoulders as he locks his muscular arms tightly around the hero's neck. In the foreground, Impulse fights back, featuring a highly athletic human physique with short brown hair and a metallic blue-and-black face mask covering the lower half of his face. He wears a form-fitting, textured dark grey-and-blue tactical suit detailed with a large glowing blue circular emblem centered on his upper chest. Both of Impulse's clenched fists ignite fiercely, sending out branching networks of bright blue electric lightning bolts that arc widely across his body and tear through the air. They clash outdoors in the middle of a modern city street, flanked by glass skyscrapers and urban billboards under a clear blue sky.
A pencil drawing of a plus size, vaguely feminine-presenting, vaguely gaslamp fantasy styled, capless gnome standing amongst foliage and holding several orchid and poinsettia blossoms. They look up, smiling hopefully and calmly as fall leaves float in a gentle wind above their head.

At once we fell to our first goal: burning Formian food-fields that upheld the neighbor-colony and swarm-holds of their west-lying mainland. Here I am ashamed to tell our deed. It became dirty, ugly slaughterwork, which I would have deemed unwarriorly ere our warfare hither, and moreover unworthy, but that our captains bade us so do at our Valmaean leaders’ will. I had erenever seen Formians in life, only hue-drafts of frightful buglike things, stinger-wielding and dragging wretched lashunta to their burrows as food and egg-fodder. I was unready for the small, shiny beetle-wights that scurried and shrieked forward or scrambled lost and trapped within their burning fields. They died so ruthfully under blade and claw. We sorrowfully made sheer slaughter with will to stamp and outroot them from the world, though claim the Elders that so had the Formians done to our foremothers in Lost Valmaea while the Sage-Queens’ downfall. Many nights sinceward, I have lain awake or come upon deck, where I have knelt and prayed Burning-Mother for forgiveness, for I cannot ban their queer screams from mind. I fear their deaths have besmirched my soul.

Then our ill mood turned to dread when the Formian backlash came. We met no more grublike workers, but tall, with four legs and shells like armor, two arms wielding axbills, and deadly stingers jutting lewdly. They brunted smartly in lockstepping tows, eager and fearless. Neither could I unmind they were doing so to ward their homeland, and moreso their own folk.
