Stiletto was a lackluster copy of a more advanced 'Mech, handicapped with ammo restrictions. But Stiletto found its way as designers learned what worked and what didn't.

You might start by copying, but don't stop there. Make it your own.

#battletech #GoodFeelsFriday

STO-4A Stiletto. Based on the Fire Falcon in the same way the Rakshasa is based off the Mad Cat, this little 35-tonner has a respectable top speed of 129 kph. 6 tons of CASE-equipped Ferro-Fibrous armor and a Guardian ECM keep it safe enough to do hit-and-run attacks. A single LRM-5 and a pair of Streak SRM-2 launchers make up its entire weapon list, and with only one ton of LRM and Streak SRM ammo total, Stiletto has to stay close to supply lines. Later models would improve based on criticism from the original, replacing the missile launchers with lasers to give it impressive striking power.Photo, no description

A Watermarked promo for an ACROSS THE GENTRYVERSE art piece on Omni's Patreon at http://Patreon.com/TheLastOmnitect . Pictured is a scene of a Berserker battlemech charging at the viewer, showing the burning wreck of a Hunchback mech in the dark of the night, split nearly in two, in the background. The blue grey assault mech is breathing fire, it's axe glowing with heat. The mech's shoulders are goldenrod yellow, and it's upper arms emerald green. On the left is a internal view of the cockpit, showing a pilot with glowing cyan artificial eyes narrowing their glare, gripping control sticks and pressing forwards with a gleeful grin. Superimposed: "Gentry Dolaan, Sundowner Merc. Berserker BZK-A3//REFIT. Class: 100 ton Assault. Armaments: 1 Extended Range PPC. 2 Large Pulse Lasers. 1 Flamer. 1 Guardian ECM suite. 1 Mainfire Antimissile PDS. 7-Ton Carbon-Steel Hatchet." Dialogue: Onboard Computer: "New target acquired. Designation: Warhawk, reconfigurable. 152 meters, 195.3 degrees south-southwest." Pilot Gentry: "Leg armor integrity?" Onboard Computer: "Right Leg: 92%. Left Leg: 85%. Assessment: Nominal." Pilot Gentry: "Engage M.A.S.C. system." Onboard Computer: "Myomer Accelerator Signal Circuitry engaged." Pilot Gentry: "Let's go earn some C-Bills."

I replaced the Dragon with a Quickdraw so the whole crew would have jump jets and printed the new one at a more accurate scale then put a zenithal prime under the speedpaints. Unfortunately, it looks so much better that I have to remake the rest of them now.

#battletech #minipainting #nerdlings

Two battlemechs, printed in PLA from the PGI designs. The Dragon on the left was done with an estimated height and base size and is rather diminutive. The Quickdraw on the right is about 3 heads taller despite also being 60 tons, and has a much more striking paint job due to the better-shaded recesses. The colour scheme is the same for both, red and yellow with purple shoulders.

-Why is there an achievement for this
-99.2% of players simply don't love the Locust enough
-I didn't know this was even an achievement until I got it I was just goofin' off with my favorite lil guy
-The other team? also Locusts. I think the "random opposing lance" button is broken.

A screenshot of a Steam achievement that has an emblem of three bugs. The emblem is glowing because this is a very rare achievement. Text reads: Today Plague of Locusts Won a 4v4 match with all of your 'Mechs being Locusts 0.8% of players have this achievement
