Bright orange and red this bloom glows in the sunshine
A tree lined walkway on Burnaby Mountain surrounded by mist. While a colour picture it invokes a very black and white feel to the image.
Mount Burke from the Mid Marsh Trail, Minnekhada Regional Park. There's a beaver lodge in the shadows, center-left. There are vivid reflections of the mountain and trees on the lake.
The orange glow of the sun setting just behind the trees on the left, its reflections glides across lightly ripple water. Everything is almost as still as the black rock sitting in the Ucluelet harbour, just a meter from me. Not completely alone, as two others take in Nature's perfectly executed event.

A small watercourse makes its way through short vegetation and large stones. A group of evergreens lie ahead, sweeping down into a valley to a larger forest. A group of mountains with hues of blue and copper anchor the background under a blue, cloudless sky.

A winding through Cipressi di Monticchiello, near Monticchiello in Val d'Orcia. It’s a stunning representation of Tuscany’s rolling, green countryside. On this day, under blue skies.
A warm, morning glow over the snow-capped, chiselled peaks of Adelaide Island. A bit of dark cloud to the left adds a little drama. The seas is quite calm here of the southern tip of
Adelaide Island, Antarctica. At 67° South, we are below the Antarctic Circle, where very few expedition-style ships venture; this boat only makes 2 or three runs here per season. A few more degrees south and big ice becomes a real problem …not going!

A wooden picnic table stands on the rocky peak of Valencia Peak, Montaña De Oro State Park, California. The soil and rocks are nearly white in color, showing stratification in the portions that poke above the dirt. Beyond the peak are green mountains with clouds hovering overhead producing wonderful atmosphere and lighting. Way in the distance you can barely make out Morro Bay and Morro Rock (far left side of the frame, two-thirds up from the bottom).
Macro photo of a orange flower with blurred stems
Black and white image of beach sand wrapping around dunes that run along Morro Strand State Beach, near Morro Rock. The sand has footprints leading from left to right, and the sand stretches into the background then curves left an up a slope. The sand dune has some vegetation growing on top. Another dune is behind the sand's path to the left and up the slope. The sky is clear. Morro Rock would be to the right of this photo.

Broad view of some of the Nine Sisters peaks from San Luis Obispo to Morro Bay. They are individual volcanic plugs. From the peaks the land sweeps down into the Los Osos Valley with golden tan fields and patches of yellow wildflowers. The sky is blue with puffy clouds. Taken from the Ridge Trail in San Luis Obispo.
