Kakimoto walks through a poor, muddy district at sunset while an elderly man in white robes stands atop a pyramid-shaped stone, laughing as he controls two soldier marionettes—one red and one blue. Nearby, a small group cooks meat over a fire beside overgrown grass and scattered debris. Other townspeople pass through the street without drawing attention, while the distant hillside is covered with tree stumps and smoke. The scene suggests poverty, manipulation, and social decay.
Plateau Village battle map of a village set up across three large rocks. There are huts on every rock with red clay and straw roofs. There are long wooden bridges connecting all the platforms. There are various smaller rocks around with statues and shrines on them. In the middle of the village is a rock with a red flag flying. There is a desert surrounding the rocks with small shrubs everywhere.
The development of Elios from scientific outpost to civilian settlement to sprawling city-state had been slow until it had been fast. Science was painfully sluggish when you were desperate for a cure, and humanity was desperate for the biggest one of all: finding new homes. Galaxies of nomads searched and were searching for a rock to plant their feet on, and when an outpost proved viable — the temperatures survivable, the atmosphere changeable, the ground growable — the settlers came flooding. After the settlers came the boom.
Antique-style fantasy map of Loathgriass (the Verdant Expanse): 74% land across 8 realms, with The Creneaniam Mountains and The Styrkhythsiax Gulf, post-roads linking the capitals and a sea-serpent in the open water.
The Danai are the oldest of the tribes and kingdoms of Lynamar. Located on the Great Ring's northern outer rim, where their ancient ancestors first crossed the Ice Road and settled the lands of the horned gods. Here, among red leaves and carved stones, the people are wild, and the waning memory of old breathes yet.

This realm is shielded from winter's breath by the hearth-fire of the Warrior-Mother. It is said that it was once as green and fertile as the southern lands. But over the eras, the Mother's flame has waned. Now, the old forest is withered and golden, never knowing summer or winter.

Banshees are a legendary death cult of women who dedicate themselves fully to the Mother's warrior-face. Whether defending their home or avenging its loss, they sweep through battlefields like a fierce whirlwind. Their ancient copper scythes, whistles, and boar-faced war-masks still faintly sing with an immortal's wrath. Hollow-mouthed tree-women often accompany them, awakened by the banshee's keening.

"Learned today that there is a heart sound heard in pregnant people called a “mammary soufflé”.

It’s heard at the second and third intercostal spaces at the sternal border and occurs both in systole and diastole. It comes from the increased blood flow pregnant people have during pregnancy."
