The former Parkhead library and the neighbouring former public baths and washhouse in the East End of Glasgow. Built in 1904, the library was designed by J.R. Rhind, and the associated baths and washhouse by A.B. McDonald.

Happy 80th Birthday to the P/S Waverley. Launched on the 2nd of October 1946 at the A. & J. Inglis shipyard in Glasgow, she's the last sea-going passenger-carrying paddle steamer in the world. This was her heading down the Clyde close to Dumbuck in 2024.

It's 22nd May 1975, and the PS Waverley gets ready to set sail for Dunoon from Anderston Quay for her first trip as a preservation vessel. In the background you can see the old Daily Record building.

A very special lady is celebrating her 80th birthday today. 80 years ago today, on 2 October 1946, the paddle steamer Waverley was launched at the A. & J. Inglis Pointhouse shipyard in Glasgow, where the River Kelvin meets the Clyde.

Jordanhill school in the west of Glasgow. Designed by Honeyman, Keppie and Mackintosh and built in 1913 (but not opened until 1920), it was originally a demonstration school for the nearby teacher training college.
