@mogsymakes.bsky.socialGood fun & great company. The Vikings were rolling hot throughout the last two turns of the game, but we all agreed that attacking the uphill position was a serious challenge for the Saxons and I shall be tweaking the scenario.

@mogsymakes.bsky.socialUnfortunately that was the high water mark as the Northmen threw in a counter charge and destroyed the Saxons piecemeal. Although 3 Viking earls were slain, Aethelred was wounded and his army broken. A dark day for Wessex !

@mogsymakes.bsky.socialThe refight of the only West Saxon victory of 871 started with a charge on the Viking position and the downing of 3 of the earls described by Asser. King Aethelred was busy taking Mass but Alfred cut his way into the enemy.

@warfigmini.bsky.socialWe've talked about how picky the Estendale Cannon is. Here's why people put up with it: 3 attacks a turn at Strength 5, from 60 range 💣

@nhelks.bsky.socialNot painted a proper tank in ages, but here’s the last one I did in March of last year (sadly not based).
Tamiya’s newest 1:48, Stuart M5.
I’m still trying to get my hands on their 1:48 Crusader, and I’d give my left arm if they’d make a 1:48 Grant.

@stormofsteel.bsky.socialtonight's game of CoC with Steve. British hold a town against German attacks. Despite the British giving them a bloody nose, the Germans reverse their fortunes with close assaults that collapsed the British force morale Table and figures all by Steve.
