A pigeon photo bombing a street scene.

Looking out a dark alleyway between two buildings. There is a street scene with a table and umbrella, and two parked vehicles. An overhead enclosure can be seen with a sunburst cutout, exposing brilliant blue sky.
Dancers dressed in extravagant purple, green, and yellow harlequin-like costumes with big, feathered hats and headdresses prance around the indoor Lotte World amusement park in Seoul, South Korea in the summer of 2004. A female dancer in the front left looks to be covering her face with the back of a white-gloved hand and laughing, as a stilt-walker on the right continues his march. The background is jammed with kids and families looking on, next to a constructed indoor prop backdrop of vaguely Spanish-like buildings with tile roofs and white walls. There’s a lot happening here.
A bumblebee gathering pollen on a vibrant pink zinnia in my September garden. Likely a bumble bee, not really sure, with that orange "stuff" on its hind legs which are sometimes called pollen pants or baskets and a furry butt. Slender green stem of zinnia and blurred green leaves and window in background.
The image shows an intricately detailed courtyard featuring Moorish Islamic architecture in Granada, Spain.

Regarding the surrender: "The Moorish King arrived where King Ferdinand was, and approaching him, he removed his turban and dismounted his horse as was agreed. He told King Ferdinand not to dismount. He approached him and kissed his arm, giving him two keys to the main gates of the Alhambra, and said to him in his own language: 'God loves you very much; these, my lord, are the keys to this Paradise.' Moving aside a little, he asked to whom the King and Queen had given the charge of the Alcazaba of the Alhambra, and telling him that it was the Count of Tendilla, he asked him to be summoned. Taking a gold ring from his finger with a turquoise stone on which were written these letters: Lei Lehe Ille Ali Lchu, Alan Tabilu Aben Abi Abdilchi; which translated into our Castilian read: 'There is no other God but the true God: and this is the seal of Aben Abi Abdilchi.' He gave it to him, and said: 'With this ring Granada has been governed since it was ruled by the Moors, take it so that you may govern it with it: and may God make you happier than me.'"
