I love the contrast of this painting. Placing those cobalt blue and deep black treble clefs against a fiery red field creates an intense visual vibration. The way the clefs interlock, pinwheel, and cascade across the canvas feels like a visual polyphony: musical symbols liberated from the neat rows of a staff and allowed to collide, echo, and improvise. There’s also subtle depth in the smoky, shadowed loops floating in the background, giving the whole composition the feeling of sound waves expanding outward. That was fun.

Red, Orange & Gold Recycled Abstract - 2.5 x 3.5 inch Artist Cards Editions & Originals (ACEO) Abstract Mixed Media Painting, Rework of used Masking Tape which has some of the orange, yellow, red, and metallic gold colours, stencilling, and texture transferred from a painting session. The Masking tape was layered on top of each other as a small collage that was then stuck down to a standard piece of printer paper which was then mounted on a 200 GSM Black Cardstock to create a new ACEO artwork.
