A black and white photo showing two chairs and a bench positioned against a wood-paneled wall. Diagonal squares and stripes cover the floor. The furniture, wall, and floor all give midcentury modern vibes. An exit sign sits on the wall in the upper right of the frame.
A drab color photo showing several electric boxes mounted on the outside of a stucco wall. There are also the faded outlines of previously installed conduits on the wall.

We’re looking down some rutted / rustic stairs towards Skeleton Point. The earth-tone landscape resembles a pizza oven, which we will experience on the way up, as we scurry to keep ahead of the Mules, to avoid doing the dance of the seventy dungs. The green is just Nature’s way of providing false hope that things actually thrive here. We started our descent at about 8:00 AM, in a frigid 40℉, within 90 minutes we’re roasting in 90℉. Our ridiculous amount of water isn’t enough, we’re grateful for the two bottles kind hikers offered us.
Coon Creek Beach in Montaña De Oro State Park, California, can only be accessed at low tide. With the tide at low level, the tide pools, seaweed, rocks and cliff cave are accessible. The cliff is white with dark discoloration at the base from normal tide levels. A large dark arch in the cliff is a cave that also opens facing the ocean. The sand is very coarse, and the sky is blue.
A white fogbow has formed over Laguna Lake Open Space in San Luis Obispo. A fog bow is like a rainbow, but because the water droplets are so fine, they are not able to form the prism colors seen in rainbows. They occur when there is light fog in the morning and the sun is low. You will see them when your back is to the sun, hence my shadow in the center under the fogbow. The field is long, dry, brown grasses, and faint hills can be seen beyond the fogbow. The sky is blue above the fogbow.
