Hey #CSS friends.

Why is text stroke still behind a WebKit prefix?

-webkit-text-stroke seems to work everywhere. Oughtn't it be standardised by now?

Container style queries and advanced attr(): rethinking how to wire up components in CSS. Brecht De Ruyte casts attributes like data-gap="2" into typed CSS values and lets @container style() queries rescale a whole card from one variable. #css #component

Выражения от контейнера со style() и продвинутый attr(): новый способ связывать компоненты в CSS. Брехт Де Рюйте превращает атрибуты data-gap="2" в типизированные значения CSS, а @container style() пересчитывает карточку одной переменной. #css #component

We are excited to share a new extension for Fylgja CSS, the attr v2 polyfill 🎉

This extension brings better support for the attr v2 syntax, by letting older browsers fall back to a static list of values.

BEM often forces you to write long class names.
RSCSS offers a simpler alternative.
It helps you write clean and readable CSS code.

Infographic titled "RSCSS methodology" comparing BEM and RSCSS code structures over a forest background. The "old way" (BEM) shows long class names like "search-form__field search-form__field--large". The "reasonable way" (RSCSS) shows much shorter class names like "field -large". A CSS section demonstrates how RSCSS uses child selectors for cleaner code. At the bottom, the author's name is Lionel Péramo.

From a website created years after the current gradient syntax (newer than any gradient syntax version they use in their CSS) was supported cross-browser.

They also use oklch() + relative syntax in their #CSS. Make it make sense.

And background-clip: padding-box? Does nothing, there's no border.

    background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, from(#144B49B2), to(#144B49));
    background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #144B49B2 40%, #144B49);
    background: -moz-linear-gradient(top,#144B49B2 40%,#144B49);
    background: -ms-linear-gradient(top,#144B49B2 40%,#144B49);
    background: -o-linear-gradient(top,#144B49B2 40%,#144B49);
    -webkit-border-radius: 4px;
    -moz-border-radius: 4px;
    border-radius: 4px;
    -moz-background-clip: padding;
    -webkit-background-clip: padding-box;
    background-clip: padding-box;
        --color-primary-alpha-10: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .1);
        --color-primary-alpha-20: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .2);
        --color-primary-alpha-30: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .3);
        --color-primary-alpha-40: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .4);
        --color-primary-alpha-50: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .5);
        --color-primary-alpha-60: oklch(from var(--color-primary-light-2) l c h / .6);

【Tips】
CSSの:has()を使うと、入力欄の状態に応じて、ラベルやグループ全体の見た目を変えられます👀

```
.form-group:has(input:invalid) {
color: red;
}
```
「不正な値が入ったinputを持つ.form-group」だけを赤くする、JSいらずの書き方です👍

I'm experimenting with using #CSS animations as timing functions for #JS and effects are promising.
