I put this one on the DEAD BEATS playlist as a gag, and I ended up working it into the text anyway.
“Got no future, great big past…”

I don't really have any like that. I think the oddest song in my playlist is Listen, Learn, Read On by Deep Purple. The lyrics are goofy.
But its a huge list of Welsh Mythology references, so it all fits!

#SongsOfSeptember: Day 18
"I put a spell on you... And now, you're mine~" ...by Bette Midler.
Asali would wanna curse me for saying this suits her. XD' Lynx would probably love it, though~ I'd say this is closer to what people *think* she's like & how they imagine her than actual fact. But still~
#SongsOfSeptember None for Such Sweet Sorrow, or for Aloe, but just Aloe's series in general has this song on the playlist as a joke:
The Masochism Tango by Tom Lehrer

This one purely for Nat and Vola purely for what they both fantasize about but too nervous to do.
Not one single song; a song pairing. In my playlist for “Home” I wanted to put a song for Imhotep and a song for The Mummy back-to-back. Obviously, I chose “Imhotep’s Theme” from The Mummy soundtrack. But then, for The Mummy, I put my favorite Mary Poppins song, “I Love To Laugh”
Fun little tidbit about my playlists I noticed doing the #SongsOfSeptember thing; the playlist for Subject 218 is almost 6 hours long, whilst all three playlists for the Specimen G-13 Trilogy fall just shy of that number. :O
I jokingly made "Don't Ya Wish U Were Us?" from the Disney Channel Original Movie "Lemonade Mouth" a side character (Kaz)'s theme because I thought the loser white boy rapper vibes fit him. Also this is easily the worst song in that otherwise solid movie

Technically this isn't officially part of our playlist. It really wouldn't fit tonally. 😋 But what are the Highgate Krypt Krewe if not "Goths In A Graveyard", so have this delightful Aurelio Voltaire piece: youtu.be/-KRvrKtbyA0?... to pleasure your hysterical audio receptors!👂
#SongsOfSeptember
A tongue in cheek sort for Kal and Betti and some extreme codependency in this jam.
#SongsOfSeptember D18:
Not really used for my writing, but for sure one I added to my general listening because it make me smile.
🤔 idk if this counts. In Anything You Want, the FMC & her cinnamon roll MMC love watching The Wedding Crashers together. When they go to a wedding together, she asks the DJ to play Shout by The Isley Brothers, then they dance to it #SongsofSeptember #RH #Romancebooks #WriterSky
I don't really have a story playlist, but I have a song that is used within the story itself in a funny way.
My kids get really irritated when it comes on in the car, too:
#SongsOfSeptember 18. A song added to the Playlist as a joke?
I don't really do that. But this song is the one song that seems really out of place in the whole Playlist and yet it's Tabatha's vibe to a T
T. Rex "Cosmic Dancer"
Blake's character song, I felt was a bit of a joke, but it really works.
Virgil = White Rabbit
Blake = Alice
Chesire Cat = The Oracle
King of Hearts = Lucifer
Queen of Hearts = Satan
Caterpillar = Alexia (?)
Mad Hatter = Laz
March Hare = Sergei
No joke adds, but this was so stuck in my head that I added it to my writing playlist only because I listened to that list most. It's a cover of a Japanese tongue twisters song. However, I have wondered about Rachel being challenged to sing it.
