De #Bloedcicade - #Cercopis_vulnerata is een opvallende zwarte cicade met felrode vleugelvlekken. Ze leeft vooral in graslanden en bosranden. Bij verstoring springt ze krachtig weg. De nimfen leven ondergronds en zuigen aan plantenwortels.

Found this Japanese Beetle perched on a cone flower. The metallic texture of these insects is wild. They are invasive, but so very pretty!

A gravel path branching into two directions just behind a stone labelled "16", that used to mark cemetery sections. Large trees and old gravestones can be seen in the background. The tone of the photo is a bit dark and slightly spooky.A close-up photo of metalworking details on a grave. Filigree floral elements in black are combined with a golden and well-polished blossom piece as well as a relief of the head of some kind of fairy tail figure. The pillar is adorned with a bust of an angel, possibly bronze, darkened by time and weather, but otherwise in good shape.
