Why employ someone taking below market salary to have the benefits and stability of public sector employment when you could fire them, pay a consultant 3x as much for the same work, then have to rehire the employee with back pay bc their firing didn't follow legal procedure? #DOGE

GAO: Paid administrative leave cost taxpayers $9.5 BILLION in 2025, a 435% increase from 2023.
About $6.7B was tied to the deferred-resignation program.
That’s one hell of a way to define “efficiency.”
