The plant in the photo resembles sheep's-bit (*Jasione montana*), a member of the bellflower family, though it also bears a slight resemblance to certain species of rampion (*Phyteuma*).

Appearance: A small plant with bluish-lilac or blue flowers clustered in dense, head-like inflorescences.

Habitat: Prefers dry pine forests, sandy soils, hills, and forest edges.

An architectural alien with a white oval face and lit blue eyes and green mouth peeping into a staircase. This impression is created by a modern indoor atrium with large oval skylights set into the ceiling, curved balcony railings, a staircase and vertical wood slats around the scene.

The bird has a thin, short beak, which is open in song. It has an orange/red face and breast with brown on the back of the head, back and tail. The underparts are white. It is perched on a thin branch, which comes up from the bottom of the frame and tilts towards the camera to the left. It’s head is raised as it sings and it’s visible body is lit up by bright winter sunshine.
Approx. Five other thin, bare branches are visible behind the bird and to the left of the frame, mostly vertical with one travelling diagonally.
The background is a clear blue sky.

A photograph of an aquamarine (sort of) window frame taking up the image equivalent. The window itself affording a view of a large mirror on an opposite interior wall of a residential building. With the word BEACH as an ornamental feature at its base. The image captures a reflection of that daft camera owner, fauna and the sea beyond complete with a fragment of an off shore estuary island. Fun. To me at least. A sunny BlueSky kinda day. 🌊
