Een foto uit de serie Shanghai uit 2017. Nachtopname in een verwoeste straat met veel puin en slechte gebouwen staat een Chinese jongen met een koffer op de grond en onder zijn linkerarm een typisch Chinees Toneelmasker. Naast hem is een telefoonpaal waar een eenvoudige straatlamp aan hangt. Die verlicht de jongen en de voet van de paal waar veel puinbrokken tegen aan staan. De jongen heeft geen enkele uitdrukking op zijn gezicht maar kijkt bewegingloos voor zich. Rechts op straat staat ook een wit beeld van een poppengezicht met vlinders in het haar. De belichting is van onderaf zodat er een spookachtige sfeer ontstaat.
