Pigs, cows, sheep, ducks, and domesticated pheasants because chickens don't exist. This also means people eat less eggs.
#SeptemberWorldbuilders Key differences from our world:
• Aio Hwung has domesticated termites and capybaras.
• Khür has the nestback, a large flightless bird. Females use their wings and special back feathers to hold eggs securely on their backs until hatching, to protect them from vampire rats.
The main one is... goats! They require less resources than cattle, while being a good source of meat and milk. The Empire does have cattle and chickens, but in much smaller proportions than the real world.

For domesticated animals, goats & cattle are commonly used for meat, milk, or other byproducts like leather/fur.
Honey production tends to be limited to the continents of Uzura & Alezon, where honeybees are plentiful and able to withstand the temperate climate.
#TheDragonblood: At the very least, pretty much all the usual suspects would exist in world: cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, geese and honey bees, in addition to wild game. Between them, Nemoria would have sources of meat, eggs, dairy and honey.
Cressida loves pork 🐷 and sweets.

CW: blood
I don't outwardly mention the use of animals for meat. Resist is a vampire series. So there is blood. I also elude that some vampires "raise" their supply.
Most vampires consume blood mixed with alcohol. It was originally paired as a method of preserving blood.

Day 10
There are normal (Earth) animals and fictional ones. Depending on the being doing the eating, most anything is edible. There are no farmers raising livestock, though. Everything is wild.
#SeptemberWorldbuilders
In Theryl, just about every type of animal is considered edible. At least, that's what the hunters of thunder packs believe. In the jungles of Hol, especially, people will eat whatever is available to them, provided they have the means to kill it.
#SeptemberWorldbuilders
Theryl has quite a few edible plants, both real and fictional.
Insects 🪲
They're used for pretty much everything in Forest's Champion-- clothing, dyes, meat, flour and more!
Surface soil and water have been heavily polluted so any plants on the surface are inedible. Some people will go to undergrown caverns and rivers to forage fresh plants but the majority have indoor greenhouses #SeptemberWorldbuilders
Sheep and goats are the most common livestock in AElit, so meat and milk normally come from them. But fish is also a large part of the AElitian diet. And yes, they do have bees and eat honey as well.

This is an interesting one for the elves of Tron Daurat! There's a couple of key staples we take for granted that they just don't have.
Most meat comes in the form of fish, poultry, and mutton. TD is landlocked by mountain ranges, so all fish are freshwater: crayfish,

The menu is opportunistic and includes descendants of Miocene rhino, tapir, horse, chalicothere, giraffids, suids, and cervids, as well as (in most, but not all places) proboscideans like the various Gomphotheres (west) and Deinotheres (east). 1/4

The agricultural centres of the Starflow River Valley contain a host of different animals and considerable ranches for them.
Textiles. There are ranches for Alpaca & Sheep wool cultivation, and for Cashmere Goats. 🧵
10) Animals as food
It's a little morbid, but the predatory Zadans do hunt and kill other Zadans for food. It's a dog eat dog world out there!
They don't do it out of any sense of malice. It's simply that they need meet to survive and killing is the only way to get it!
Typically similar animals are used for food as in our world, and while elves are usually vegetarian, other people mainly eat meat. John's favorite dish, for example, is cabbage stew with pork, and Ebyana's is boar with mushrooms (until she turns vegan later on).

10: Meat, eggs, dairy, and honey are commonly eaten by the various people of Karnassia (co-creates with @jmaxwell-author.bsky.social). Which animal varies by culture, with chicken and fish being common among nearly all cultures, while beef and pork are common in Hroth and...
