I'm usually not a fan of the flashlight mechanic in games, but I decided to make one for this short room in my #RPGMaker side project, Vote Milkshake. It works similarly to how the follow light did in my Stage Left game, using events and player position to track it.

Kinda the more useless inclusion but just wanting to test things out to see how it looks.
Appears functional and doesn't seem to (immediately) lag the game. Only problem being flickering when initializing which I'm masking out by blanking the screen and turning.
