The heat of the land and sea
Rails against the lessening light
An escalating reciprocity of #conflict
Until Autumn storms hold
And leaf laden trees sway
#Vss365

wind storm at twilight
the evening ends the #conflict
calm returns to isles

We were together for 30 years, so of course we had #conflict occasionally, but five years after his death I still miss him.
RIP Don 💜

Here's conflict - one movement after another, for what? It's easier to answer when there's not those smiley faces - the smiles millimeters-deep - blaring in foreground and background. Knower of all the oppressive tricks, benefit-er of enough of them to not want to know.
Conflict.

the body opens
a microscopic #conflict
inside your own blood

"Hatson, the clock tower bell is missing"

"Geriarty again, Sholmes?"

"Without question"

"Why?"

"He wanted to end a #conflict, Hatson"

"What conflict?"

"Between the bell and his afternoon nap"

The trees are all undressed
for the harvest, green and hale
while birds laze heedless
of their appointed itinerary.

As if summer, grown fond
of warm naps and dewy tumblers,
has penciled a #conflict into
the reservation book.

And autumn waits for some tardy gust
to sweep her room ready.

Sad and pathetic,
The endless conflict over
Land and fairy tales.

city diner at midnight
neon flickers over chrome

a man and woman sit apart
their #conflict unspoken, cold

as the coffee between them

You may love them,
try to ignore their faults,
but love is impossible to #sustain
in the face of violence -
if they thrive on #conflict
you'd be wise not to remain.
