So uhhhh... The 3DS remake of The Ocarina of Time is genuinely still the best version. The new S2 remake has some modern niceties like gyro aiming and quick swap, but so does the 3DS while also having a much more focused and appealing visual identity. #NintendoDirect #Zelda #OoT #ZeldaDirect

How does everything else look so good, and then Zelda look so bad?

I wanted to stream the Zelda Direct but I’m so glad I didn’t because I was straight up WEEPING the entire time 😭

It looks exactly how kid me thought it looked at the time. I want it all, the switch 2, the game, the ocarina, please can it be November already 😭

#zeldadirect

Did a little edit to see how some stylisation would look and oh my god they gave epona a human eye

Being able to hum songs, or even play your own Ocarina, with the Ocarina of Time remake is really silly. Honestly perfect for younger kids. #OoT #OcarinaOfTime #NintendoDirect #Zelda #ZeldaDirect #TLoZ

I suppose this is equivalent exchange for @kinkymation.bsky.social being gifted the OOT Remake Great Fairy this morning...

CAN YOU BELEVE THE SHOCKING ANNOUNCEMENT FROM TODAYS #ZELDADIRECT

LINK IS MALO’S SON

Also confirmed #Nintendo hates #TwilightPrincess.. not even a mention of it coming to Switch 2 in any form in the #ZeldaDirect

Who ever modeled Ganondorf and Impa for the OOT Remake locked the fuck in...
#FizzVsGaming #ZeldaDirect

Not got a single complaint about the OOT Remake

It's beautiful and I know it'll be so fun to play :3

Hyped for the movie too

Navi talking to the player seems to be optional, but with the caveat of an annoying slow flashing icon on screen whenever she has shit to say even if you've already heard it. I hope you can disable that while keeping the rest of the hud, but I doubt it #NintendoDirect #OoT #Zelda #ZeldaDirect

Everyone refreshing Amazon to see if they're selling their physical copies of Ocarina Remake at digital pricing:

predictions for the #zeldadirect did i miss anything?

The OoT remake art style was going to be controversial no matter what they did, but I like it. The only flaw for me, is I think young Link looks a little too baby-faced. And for what it’s worth, the original game is accessible on the console anyway, so no big deal in my opinion. #ZeldaDirect

Aaaaaaand with that tidbit, we can call it a wrap on the #ZeldaDirect half of the snarky bingo card today...

See you all again tomorrow morning for the #NintendoDirect!

I was on the side of defending the initial reveal of The Ocarina of Time remake visuals, but now that we've got some gameplay all the people comparing to those lazy "Mario in Unreal Engine" posts were right. It's so unappealing. (1/2) #NintendoDirect #Zelda #ZeldaDirect #OoT #TLoZ

I want to live, I want to live yall #ZeldaDirect

Oh yeah, just watched the Zelda Direct. The band at the beginning was awesome, and it's cool that they're coming out with a Zelda movie next spring. But I'm going to pass on Ocarina Remake. Just didn't pique my interest. I'm happy with my 3DS version. #NintendoDirect #Zelda #ZeldaDirect #Ocarina

They did it Nintendo Hired this Man and He made it work! It was a surprise at first but overall it dose look good. Like going from FF7 to FF7 Remake

Am I disappointed that it's basically just a 1:1 upscale of the Nintendo 64 game?

Sure... but at the end of the day, IT'S STILL FUCKING OCARINA OF TIME!
