OK. So, I took it literally (the Dallas interpretation), and I didn’t like that. But I didn’t hate it as much as I might because the dreamtime isn’t lost for Eunho. He gained self-esteem and confidence, so that he’s able to start out with Dohyeon on an equal footing. Surprise him even. #Summertime

It was interesting to watch #Dopamine just after @farnes.bsky.social and I were talking about the male gaze of Flying Penguin mini-series ( #SexualLessons and now this) vs the female gaze K-BL productions like #Summertime. Similar levels of explicitness but totally different levels of eroticism.

#Summertime is excellent. I got a bit obsessed for a while there. The production company made other (good) BLs with d/s feels, and this time it’s in a school setting. It really works well. I don’t usually go for youth stuff but this hits differently. Dohyeon is intense, weird, horny and I love him!

Oh, I’ve got a new entry in “excellent use of sex scenes to unpack characters and further plot progression”: #Summertime. It’s become one of my fave K-BLs and is (I think) the most explicit we’ve ever seen. Highly recommend for realistically raw, messy, horny, uncertain, intense teen boy stuff.

Probably my fav highschool #kbl so far.
I loved the rawness & emotion of authenticity ✨️ far away from the usual shy idealised pure first love trope. Horny, awkward, messy, full of insecurities & doubts it felt captivating & touching.
I loved the use of dream sequences💕
