@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialIts Spooky Season, this seemed kind of fun.
This concert on Letterman is one that I would time travel to.
"My mind has changed
My body's frame, but, God, I like it
My heart's aflame
My body's strained, but, God, I like it"
Feel the rush
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialI just like this song.
There are many good SOAD songs; but, this one and the cover, Metro, are still my favorites.
"Have no questions but I sure have excuse
I lack the reason why I should be so confused"
This haunts me, sometimes.
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialthe second AIC song I'm playing tonight.
"Seem so sick to the hypocrite norm
Running their boring drills
But we are an elite race of our own
The stoners, junkies and freaks"
If we are freaks, we own it.
I'll stand by that any day
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialWhile I find this band pretentious, maybe just me, I do like a few of their songs.
The future is now here. Its our turn to write it's lyrics.
"No longer will I curse the bad I've done
If there's a time when the feelings gone, I wanna feel it"
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialI think this is their most overlooked album; yet, there are some great songs with some stellar lyrics.
This line is always going to be relevant.
"Nothing will do me in before I do myself
So save it for your own and the ones you can help"
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialAnother one that is even more relevant today than when it first came out
"Don't believe the church and state
And everything they tell you
Believe in me, I'm with the high command"
I used to do karaoke to this, not well, just for those lyrics
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialWe're being pushed over that edge.
Hold on to the good; and break through.
"...if somebody left you out on a ledge
If somebody pushed you over the edge
You've got to hold on to your time and break
Through these times of
Trouble"
@gregmorosoff.bsky.social19 fucking 73
Aside from the tech, not much has changed.
"Kept his gun in quiet seclusion, such a humble man
The only survivor of the National People's Gang"
Those lyrics seem relevant; or, maybe just to me.
They seemed relevant 50 years ago.
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialOk my blue friends.
Time to start tonight's playlist.
Hope you like some of it.
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialLayne Staley absolutely owned this song.
Crank this one up, and lets get started
There are times, in some performer's career, when they become legend, even if just for a few minutes.
When Staley does this song. He stood legendary.
His eyes!!!
@gregmorosoff.bsky.socialI have a pretty good playlist for #SorcerersPlaylist Saturday.
Hope you tune in, if you want to, at 10pm tonight.
A little sample of tunes to come.
