Check out this great series of lectures by Ivan Zatz, my friend since CUNY Sociology, now retired officemate at Pratt. The book I always thought he should write. I remember many conversations between him and Stanley Aronowitz about Lefebvre. #CriticalTheory #Sociology #Marx #CulturalStudies

Illustrated New Yorker cover showing a busy playground scene. Two women, apparently caregivers, watch children playing: one stands holding a pink scooter while another sits on a bench with a toddler on her lap and holds up a phone showing a man on a video call. Children play on playground equipment around them, surrounded by lush green trees. The cover is dated 9 September 2024 and illustrated by Kikuo Johnson.

For the record Dan is considered "Latin American" ethnically but the system props him up caste wise over mine and its blatantly in order for mistakes like this to happen and essentially be "built in" propaganda.

Believe it or not people understanding this "difference" actually go a very long way when it comes to properly understanding society especially for marginalize populations like my, dare I say, "ethnicity"...

I know this likely went over people heads yesterday...

Shoot people likely just don't care enough to tune in regularly but I'm posting this mostly to clarify something Dan Lebatard was getting extremely wrong yesterday on his "program"...

Book cover of 'Sacred Callings: An Eventful Analysis of the Global Catholic Priesthood' by Brian Conway. The cover features a priest in a white robe walking up the stairs of an old church. Next to the cover is a quote from a book review written by Matthew T. Loveland and published in 'Social Forces' on 4 September 2026. The quote reads: "The book will be of interest to sociologists of religion who study organizational dynamics, and valuable to those theorizing about religious change."
