I didn’t go to daycare, nursery school/early childhood ed or pre-kindergarten. I stayed at home w/my grandparents & great grandparents watched me while my mother was in grad school during the day/my dad was at work. I was an early ready/writer/could do simple math before age 5

I never skip the “I Love Lucy” theme song (youtu.be/4t_lFXZKah4?...) It’s so simple but it puts a smile on my face every time

Our final episode is “Nursery School” (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...), which is actually fairly timely
#RetroView #HispanicHeritageMonth #ILoveLucy

Apparently, Desi’s holster belt fell down accidentally during dress rehearsal so it was written into the script for taping b/c it got big laughs

“Radio.. Rodeo..”
#RetroView

Was there any doubt that there would be antics involved when it’s decided that Lucy would be part of a show?😂
#RetroView

I know some of the episodes in these later seasons get weird when it shifts more to being about Ricky’s career but I like that they gave Desi more to do beyond reacting to Lucy
#RetroView #ILoveLucy

And we roll right into “Lucy Goes to a Rodeo” (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...)
#RetroView #HispanicHeritageMonth #ILoveLucy

Desi was actually a bit less than the “5’11 and a half” he claimed in this episode. Lucy was at least 5 foot 7 and often wore flat shoes

I’m honestly surprised that Fred shelled out for paint on the walls
#RetroView

And just let it roll into “Face to Face” AKA “The Ricardos Are Interviewed” (Season 5, Episode 7) (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...)
#RetroView #HispanicHeritageMonth #ILoveLucy

The patriarchy really did a number on that lady
#RetroView

“The Homecoming” hit the airwaves around the time of Lucy and Desi’s 1956 fantasy romcom “Forever, Darling”
#RetroView #HispanicHeritageMonth #ILoveLucy

First up is “Homecoming” (Season 5, Episode 6) (pluto.tv/us/shows/155...) which marks the end of the “Ricky in Hollywood” arc
