This whole femme fatale thing was becoming confusing. He was either going to track her down and give her the business with his .45, for the evil she’d committed...or he would #renounce his life and devote every molecule of his being to her.

He was an odd man, he tried to #renounce the ground. We did tell him it wouldn't work. But after three hundred tweets, a podcast and a TikTok account dedicated to Exposing The Truth, I can't say any of us were disappointed when we watched him float up into the sky, arguing with the clouds.

Bob breezed through the Instagram story template: coffee or tea, tea. Summer or winter, winter. Then he hit the hard one: dog or cat. He adored Leo but longed for a small Pomeranian at home. If only Nora didn’t #renounce dogs. Maybe there was a way to convince her.

At this point being an older person there really isn’t anything to #renounce, if there ever was anything that needed to be renounced. Just get on with life and live it.

Exiled from community
Nullify all rights
Overturn access to what was free
Undo the work of heroes
Negate statements of those that aren't thee
Cancel progress without due process
Escape?

It isn't possible. While the world renounces us, one by one.

Out with the old,
Out with the new,
Out with the royals,
And the socialists too,
Out with the righteous,
Out with the poor,
Out with everyone,
And close the door.

Dad gave something up every Lent and swore to the priest he'd #renounce it for good. The smokes one year, the bookies the next. By Easter Monday he'd be back at both. After he turned eighty the priest asked what it would be this time. Dad said Lent, and he’s kept to it. #vss365
