I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage. This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country. #CommitToALivingWage

The state of Australia's unemployment pensions is untenable; none of them should be below the poverty line, and people have died and more will continue to die explicitly because of how little is afforded to them.

Exactly. And people looking for work - before retirement age currently being made homeless and living then with services refusal to provide housing unless they’re mentally or physically needing services to go with their housing. #RaiseTheRate #PovertyKills #auspol Australians need good government.

Important to know. I hope employers are passing on the wage increase. Have people been getting this? Is it making much of a difference? We need to #RaiseTheRate JobSeekers and people on Youth Allowance currently left with nothing to hope for, and services telling them they’re the problem. 🤬 #auspol

Or we could simply #RaiseTheRate- so that all people assessed as needing income support have sufficient funds for health, education, food, housing and life-admin.
