What remains is the Self: not the ego in charge, but a larger wholeness the ego finally serves.

You were never meant to become someone else. Only more completely yourself.

Nothing genuinely new grows through soil that hasn’t first been cleared.

Ask which season you are actually in. Not which one you wish it were.

Then autumn’s deliberate release, practiced with open hands, not clenched ones. Then winter, the stripped, bare season Collins treated as sacred ground, not a problem needing to end.

People who go through this kind of death often describe the same sensation: not becoming someone new, but finally recognizing someone old, someone who was waiting the entire time beneath the noise.

What’s left afterward is not a blank slate. It’s closer to a signature that was always there, obscured by everything painted over it.

A force secure in what it actually is doesn’t need the transaction completed through recognition. The cure happens. The protection holds. Nothing further is required, because nothing further was ever the point.

The work either happened or it didn’t, and needing an audience to confirm it happened is a sign the worker still doubts their own effectiveness, still needs external validation to believe the thing was worth doing.

Hartmann is describing something built on the opposite premise. The occultist who actually understands what power is doesn’t need it witnessed to know it was real.
