@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased in 1940 around this date, The Mummy's Hand slowly made it's way to the big screen. A less than Universal Monster's film, its still a classic watch & rewatch for vintage horror fans! Misses the mark of The Mummy - 1932.

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased on this date in 2009 Open Graves dragged onto the big screen! If this film was as good as the poster it would have rocked! Weak acting, story & dialogue its a stretch to suggest. Open Door & Leave is more like it.

@psychostudios.bsky.socialCheers to all! We celebrate talk like a pirate day, by talking like a pirate! It's a cool day to show your creativity, leave a pirate voice message, send an audio file as a pirate! Yo Ho Ho & a bottle of rum! Scallywags!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialA horror movie a day keeps the doctor away! Today's film is 2009's Jennifer's Body! I never got into this film; cast was suspect, dialogue hokey & it never decided if it wanted to be dark or comedic. Psycho Scale 3!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased this date in 1963, The Slime People slipped their way onto the big screen. Considered one of the last double bill horror films; a short 73 minutes of classic B horror film! Overuse of the fog machine is fun! A must watch for low budget fans!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialA horror movie a day keeps the doctor away! Todays film is 2010s Devil! With a story by M. Night Shyamalan this crisply paced & dark toned horror film is an 80 minute thrill ride! Worth a watch & better than 85% of the shit horror films out there today!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialeleased on this date in 1976 House by the Lake limped onto the big screen. AKA Death Weekend. A Canadian based film starring TV staples Brenda Vaccaro & Don Stroud! A semi-rip off of Last House on the Left with less edge. It's worth a 70's horror watch.

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased this date in 2008, They Wait tried to scare it's way onto big screen! Canadian horror film that is another stupid ghost-entity film. Poster reads scary as Hell - if true Hell isn't scary!
Not recommended unless you are seeking a sleep aid!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased this date in '65 Planet of the Vampires hit the big screen! Directed by Mario Bava, this low budget & odd film has NO vampires in it! Bava had no budget & actors speaking multiple languages during shooting. Classic Italian B Horror!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased this date in 1983, Curtains raised the house in an interesting 80's horror film way! This Canadian slasher is an odd one & I am still unsure if I liked it or not. For all 80's slasher film fans its a different watch! Use to have the poster!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased on this date in 1991 Freddy's Dead cut it's way onto the big screen! We wish it had lived up to the tagline of saving best for last. It was neither! We always dug Freddy, it's the movies that suck - except 1 and 3!

@psychostudios.bsky.socialHappy weekend to all you psychos! Simpler times; vintage ice cream parlors, vintage video games. Let's share gratitude this weekend & appreciate what we have rather than what we have not.

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased this date in 1980, Jamie decided to go to Prom Night! It's nostalgic; still a bad film. The high school actors are in their 20's! Solid cast. Good production values. Weak story. A cool watch for 80's horror fans! The night they went dancing!?

@psychostudios.bsky.socialA horror movie a day keeps the doctor away! Today: 1987's Hellraiser. Clive Barker’s sick & twisted classic blew minds! Saw it first on VHS. Nearly X-rated be4 cuts. Still the only Hellraiser worth watching! Based on Barker's novella.

@psychostudios.bsky.socialReleased on this date in 1987, The Curse hit the big screen. Directed by David Keith. Eclectic cast, interesting change of horror pace for the late 1980's. I love the poster more than the film! Keep telling yourself it's only a CURSE!
